1. What is your role in the Toria project?

I am responsible for social media and PR, which involves contacting the media and influencers. I prepare texts, graphics, and videos for posts, mainly using materials previously created by our graphic designers. I also record materials with Unity to show whatever I currently need and would like to show on our channels.

When we have a lot of cool things to show the world, I prepare a Press Pack with an article and a package of graphic assets, which I send to the media. Every publication is valuable to us – it gets the word out about the game, and shows that people like Toria and are looking forward to its release as much as we are.

2. What do you enjoy most about the project?

Seeing the fruits of the team's work. I don't have any influence on the creation of the game myself – I don't program, create characters, arenas, or graphics – so I'm fascinated by how everything starts to take on a life of its own. I really enjoy playing around with the project in Unity – testing characters, checking their animations and behaviors, looking under the layers of the arenas, and noticing various details. That's why I try to show much more on social media than players will be able to see on their mobile device screens in the heat of battle. All these beautiful details are worth highlighting because Toria really has a lot to offer.

3. What was the biggest challenge for you?

Over time, I had to start recording my own materials in Unity, which I had never used before, so I didn't know how to go about it. Everyone on the team was very helpful and patient, sometimes explaining the same thing to me three times until I finally got it.

With this project, I started creating short videos on a larger scale for the first time, so it was quite a challenge at first. I tried different methods – I spliced together clips, used effects, and matched music that would fit the image perfectly. When creating short content, you have to keep up with trends so that it gets discovered and viewed. I admit that playing with trends was a tough nut to crack for me at first, but now my head is full of ideas. I can't wait for it all to see the light of day.

4. What were your early days at Toria like?

I was the last member of the current team to join the project, so it took me a while to get used to the highly complex world of the game. Everyone was using the official names of characters and arenas, and I had no idea what they were talking about. I spent a lot of time studying the main document about Toria, which was prepared by Daniel, our game designer, and then individual files and graphics to better understand the whole game world.

There are many characters, and I had to distinguish between them somehow. When I was recording videos, I named the character files after their class or my association with them – Zoria was an elf to me, Ziemira was a grandmother, Bogdan was a butcher, and Ziemowit was a farmer. It wasn't very professional, but I had to manage somehow. I think that if someone woke me up in the middle of the night now and asked me the names of the characters, I could recite them without any problem.

5. How do you spend your free time?

I like listening to music and meeting up with friends. I also often pick up a book or comic book – fantasy and science fiction occupy most of my heart, and I love stories about superheroes. On weekends, I don't like to stay in one place, so I often go somewhere – mostly a convention or a concert, sometimes both. However, when I'm at home, I devote my time to my passions and hobbies. Apart from books, comics, and music, I like to try my hand at writing stories or poems. Not forgetting, of course, my cat, who demands to be played with 24/7.
